267 - Rare German Stahlhelm for a medic. A rare and beautiful German medic's helmet. Shell manufactured by E.T. in size 64. Retains more than three-quarters of its feldgrau paint with a nice patina. On the front and back, two white-painted discs, each with a red cross in the center. Lining missing. Very few authentic examples are known to exist; this one, straight from the display cases of the Musée de la Targette, is undoubtedly genuine. Signs of normal wear. Rare German medic’s Stahlhelm. Rare German medical orderly’s helmet with an E.T. size 64 shell retaining more than three-quarters of its field-gray paint and an attractive patina. White-painted discs with red crosses on the front and back. Liner missing. Very few authentic examples are known. This example comes directly from the displays at the Targette Museum and is considered unquestionably authentic. Wear consistent with use.
