92 - German M1860 and M1871 bayonets. A Model 1860 bayonet, dated 1861, with a regimental cross, and a barely legible mark beginning with the letter M—possibly Mecklenburg or Magdeburg. A second marking, 17. D. 580, on the brass handle. Oxidized, without a scabbard. A Model 1871 bayonet, blade dated 1874, with a regimental cross marked 27.R. (crossed out). Blade shows signs of oxidation. Comes with a scabbard in poor condition—dry, unstitched leather. Brass pommel marked “101,” Saxon Reserve Regiment. The bayonet does not fit completely into the scabbard, falling short by 3 cm. Wear and patina. German M1860 and M1871 bayonets.
