JEAN BESNARD (1889–1958) Chevrons Spectacular trumpet-shaped vase with two large wings. Polychrome glazed ceramic piece: the main decoration features gold and mauve splashes on a brown background. The interior is also embellished with kiln-fired gold and features a crackle finish. One firing hairline (glaze receding on the exterior), a restored chip on one fin. Signed “Jean BESNARD France” on the reverse on a background covered with raw earthenware by the artist. H. 35 cm – W. 37 cm
