On the reverse side is a historical certificate/document from the year 1797. The text refers to the miraculous image of “Maria Hilf” in Passau. Signed by hand in the lower right corner and bearing a seal in the center. “That this venerable image of Mary Help of Christians has been touched by the great miraculous and grace-bestowing image of Mary Help of Christians on the mountain above Passau is attested to by this certificate, executed with my own seal and handwriting. Issued at our local hospice on October 22, 1797. P. Mainradus (presumably Father Mainrad). Cap (with an abbreviation loop, likely stands for Cappelanus (Chaplain))." Craquelé. Mounted on a frame with a stamp from the "Federal Monuments Office" stating "Approved for Export." Frame is scuffed and bumped. See photos for condition.
