Antique Amethyst Brooch in Yellow Gold Antique brooch, probably dating from the mid-19th century, in gold, not stamped, gold fineness tested at approximately 333. Set in the brooch are three oval amethysts (up to 12 x 9 mm) totalling approximately 7.60 carats. Used condition, pressure marks, clasp hook replaced at an earlier date, pin not gold. Dimensions 48.9 x 29.8 mm, weight 8.25 grams.
