Demistella combines a Macchia Vecchia marble top with a base that blends wood and marbles of various hues, in a juxtaposition characteristic of his postmodern style. The piece is as much a work of miniature architecture as it is a piece of furniture, resembling a small domestic altar. A work in which stone becomes color and volume.
