208 - Matteo Thun (born in 1952)

Matteo Thun (born in 1952) Sculpture "Vasi da colorare" Collection Partially glazed crackled ceramic Alessio Sarri Edition Prototype Bears the stamp of the artist’s studio, “Matteo Thun Atelier” Date of creation: 2015 H43 Ø30 cm Free from any functional purpose, this piece from the Vasi da colorare collection stands as a sculpture in its own right. Matteo Thun combines two effects here: partial glazing, which reveals the clay in places, and crackle, which creates a fine network of lines across the glazed surfaces. The contrast between the raw and glazed areas transforms the object into a three-dimensional graphic composition, in keeping with the designer’s playful spirit. Produced as a prototype by Alessio Sarri’s studio, the piece bears the stamp of Thun’s studio.
