Simone Negri Accadimento #167 Wall sculpture Porcelain stoneware and black glaze 2023 H38 L38 P10 cm Square format, low relief, black glaze: this wall piece distills the principles of the Accadimento series into a frontal composition. Porcelain stoneware, which is finer and denser than ordinary stoneware, allows for sharp edges and taut surfaces, which the black glaze renders almost graphic. When hung on the wall, the work appears as a monochromatic relief, where only light and shadow reveal the design.
