Simone Negri Accadimento #218 Sculpture Stoneware and black glaze 2026 H42 L19 P10 cm A vertical piece from the Accadimento series, No. 218 is among Simone Negri’s most recent works. In this piece, the Italian ceramicist continues an exploration rooted in the acceptance of the unexpected: the final form results from working with the clay rather than from a preliminary sketch. The slender format, more intimate than the large horizontal pieces in the series, lends itself to display on a pedestal or shelf. The deep, matte black glaze draws the eye to the relief and the natural irregularities of the material, much like a small contemporary stele.
