1889. MAGAZINE. LA JUSTICIA. REPUBLICAN DAILY. Madrid: Imp. de la Justicia, 1889. Two vols. in large folio. We present two volumes: one containing issues from January 1, 1889, through June 30 [only the June 1 issue is missing] and another containing issues from July 1 through December 31. All issues are 2 h. wide with 5 columns. The lower third of the second page of each issue has been cut out; this section corresponds to the “Biblioteca de La Justicia,” a publication that appeared in the newspaper to be completed over time. The second volume has a cut in the lower right corner of all issues through December, which slightly affects the text. Two volumes bound in period half-cloth, with cardboard endpapers, showing some scuffing. This newspaper sought to unite the forces of the Republicans following the experience of the First Republic; it was founded in 1888 in Madrid and was published until 1897.
