Large folio. 58 leaves + 340 pages + 1 leaf. With the inquisitor’s signature on the title page, dated April 1747; the text contains some censorship redactions and a few handwritten marginal notes. Bound in contemporary parchment, partially detached. CCPB 17666-4. This chronology of the world was well received; the geographer pointed out and corrected some errors in almanacs by comparing astronomical information on eclipses (lunar and solar) with dates related to sacred history. In 1582, these discrepancies were resolved with Pope Gregory XIII’s reform of the Julian calendar.
