AN 18TH-CENTURY ENGRAVING OF EMPRESS MARIA THERESA OF AUSTRIA, QUEEN OF HUNGARY AND BOHEMIA A finely made mezzotint engraving of the famous Habsburg Empress Maria Theresa, here seen in her role as Queen of Hungary along with the crown jewels and coat of arms. A military encampment can be seen in the background, with two soldiers relaxing and playing music. The label reads 'Maria Theresia, D. G. Regina Hungariae, Boh: Et Reliqua'. At bottom right is another small section of text, presumably relating to the artist, reading 'I. C. Haffner exc. au'. Europe, 18th century. Dimensions: 19 1/2 x 14 1/2 in., (49.5 x 37 cm.)
