A CHINESE COMMUNIST FLAG, "RED ARMY WOMEN’S ARMY", WWII PERIOD Large rectangular silk flag of red field, centered with a white five-pointed star bearing a black hammer and sickle emblem. The hoist with a vertical white panel inscribed in black characters reading "中國工農紅軍女子軍連" ("Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army Women’s Unit/Company"). Dimensions: 5.08 × 8.33 feet, (154.9 × 254 cm.) Condition: Shows expected age and use. Creasing throughout, areas of minor soiling and discoloration, scattered wear to the silk, including small losses and fraying at edges.
