Marked on the lower mount margin for the Pew Institute for Ocean Science. Sight: 14 1/8 x 14 1/8 in. Frame: 20 1/8 x 20 1/4 x 1 1/4 in. This dramatic photograph by shark scientist Dr. Neil Hammerschlag hung in the hallway leading to Peter's office, beside its companion (see Lot 261). From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940-2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
