Marked on the verso with a label for Scholz & Ey Engravers. 7" H x 9" W x 3/4" D. Peter collaborated with Greg Stone of the New England Aquarium to create a series of ocean conservation films, with Peter as host, narrator and executive producer. The acclaimed film series, World of Water Films, including Keepers of the Reef and four other films, explored the wonders of the sea and the threats it faces, from overfishing to the loss of coral reefs. The film series was shown at more than 400 zoos and aquariums worldwide, reaching an estimated 33 million viewers a year. From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940-2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation. Proceeds from the Peter Benchley Collection will benefit five ocean conservation organizations: Peter Benchley Ocean Awards, WildAid, Beneath the Waves, Blue Frontier and Environmental Defense Fund. CONDITION: The plaque is in excellent condition with no visible chips, scratches, or oxidation to the metal faceplate. The wood-grain finish is well-preserved with sharp edges and minimal signs of handling. The reverse is clean, and the manufacturer label is fully intact. NOTICE TO BIDDERS: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Photos are considered part of the condition report. Complete condition information is available by request, please request no later than 24 hours prior to the auction. All lots are offered and sold "as is", and Willow Auctions will not provide refunds based on condition.
