Sight: 7 1/2 x 10 3/4 in. Frame: 16 1/4 x 20 1/4 in. The Garden Theatre was the Benchleys' hometown cinema in Princeton, New Jersey, and in the summer of 1975 JAWS ran there for four months straight. Friends kept asking Peter and Wendy whether they could persuade the theater to change the picture. They had seen it. Photograph by James Alan Colman. Proceeds from the Peter Benchley Collection will benefit five ocean conservation organizations: Peter Benchley Ocean Awards, WildAid, Beneath the Waves, Blue Frontier and Environmental Defense Fund. CONDITION: The print is in good condition showing no silver mirroring, foxing, or tonal fading. The silver-plated frame exhibits minor surface scratches and light wear consistent with handling.
