Bronze Tibet , 14th century Dimensions: Height 14 cm Wide 11 cm Depth 8 cm Weight: 518 grams Seated Buddha on double reverse lotus throne with beaded rims showing the bhumispharsa mudra, calling the earth to witness. The deity is dressed in a robe thrown over the left shoulder. Elongated earlobes frame the face. The eyes are closed in deep meditation, warding off every evil. The bottom is incised with a double vajra symbol.
