CHINE
Rectangular, four-legged planter in famille rose enamel painted on copper, decorated on all four sides with port scenes featuring European figures in alternating floral and butterfly reserves. It is covered with a burnished copper reticulated double wall with a scroll motif in light relief. The border is decorated with a blue Greek frieze and lotus flowers. The interior in turquoise blue.
18th century (minor restorations).
