Beautiful set of three finely embroidered orphreys from the Renaissance period, Italy or Spain, late 16th century. Two embroidered panels in embossing and silk couchure and gold thread drawing elegant scrolls of acanthus flowered ringed and horns of plenty on a background of satin currant (some wear of the background, 20 x 55 cm each); another panel embroidered on velvet with the decor coordinated with the previous lot (28 x 54 cm).
