Description
Wilhelm Focke (1878-1974), an artist working in Bremen, studied at the art academies in Düsseldorf, Munich and Weimar with Ludwig von Hofmann and in Berlin with Arthur Kampf. He was friends with Max Liebermann, Oskar Kokoschka, Max Slevogt and Hans Thoma. Composite of two sketchbooks and additions: one with military pen and ink drawings, another with pencil drawings of boys, landscapes and horses, two fragments with other drawings, make monogrammed, damaged and strong signs of age, to 11 x 17 cm.
