A rare triptych with flaps (Seel), a portable painting with vignettes of a judgment scene and scenes of multiple torments. Used for private devotion, this type of polyptych was donated to religious institutions by "private individuals, ecclesiastics or nobles, who had them made in the hope of eternal salvation".
