154. JANSEN PARIS Small armchair of office or dressing table with wrap-around back in carved and gilded wood, decorated with flowers and foliage. Feet cambered legs. Raspberry lampas upholstery. Fabric of cleanliness marked " JANSEN PARIS " in ink with the stencil. Louis XV style, circa 1900. 69 x 54 x 48 cm. (Small chips and gold wear). Established around 1880 at 9, rue de Rocroy in Paris, Jansen moved permanently to 9, rue Royale in 1885 and became an upholsterer decorator. He was awarded a silver medal at the the Amsterdam Exhibition in 1883 and in of Paris in 1889.
