Ink and polychrome thangka on canvas depicting Padmasambhava seated on a lotus emerging from the water, holding a vajra in his left hand, a kapala in his right hand and a katvanga, resting on a large circular nimbus surmounted by a representation of Amithaba Buddha.
Lotus stems blooming on the sides of the composition and supporting representations of the patriarchs of the Gelugpa and Nyingma sects.
