Velten in Carlsruhe.". Date: c. 1800 Description: Presumably by C. Haldenwang after a model by the landscape artist Heinrich Theodor Wehle (1778 Förstgen - 1805 Bautzen). Idyllic depiction of a landscape with individual figures and scattered antique-style buildings. A ravine opens up in the distance, on the upper plateau of which a large temple complex can be seen that resembles the famous Temple of Vesta in Tivoli.
