Inscribed below the depiction: "Painted and engraved by James Stewart" and titled and with publication line: "Hide and Seek", "Printed by Lloyd & Hennings", "London, Published Jany. 1, 1834, by Moon, Boys & Graves, Printsellers to His Majesty, No. 6, Pall Mall.". After a painting by James Stewart himself, in the style of David Wilkie, which was exhibited in the British Institution in 1829. Keywords: 19th century, Biedermeier, People, United Kingdom, Size: Paper: 40,3 cm x 32,0 cm (15,9 x 12,6 in), Depiction: 28,6 cm x 22,7 cm (11,3 x 8,9 in) Condition: Good condition. The image makes a very good impression. Barely trimmed along the platemark, foxing in the left part of the image; marginal area slightly soiled due to age.
