Vind.", inscribed on the left below the depiction "Georg Philipp Rugendas inv. Depiction from a series of equestrian portraits by Christian RUGENDAS. On a path, surrounded by rocks, four figures on horseback have just met. Two of the men are engaged in conversation, possibly asking for the right way. A little apart from them is another rider in distinguished clothing. The corners of the sheet are slightly bumped, the margins pale discoloured. Isolated pale foxing and discolouration. The image makes a very good impression.
