Munich. 20th century, 19th century Inscription: Inscribed and dated "Unken 15.IX.67" lower right Date: 19th century Description: Wonderfully elaborated, detailed mountain panorama with a small scene from rural life in the foreground. The artwork shows a detailed pencil drawing of an alpine landscape. Lush vegetation, consisting of densely overgrown trees and bushes, spreads out in the foreground. A narrow path leads through the picture, flanked on the right by a small stream. In the centre of the picture is a farmstead with several buildings, including a church with a striking tower. The background landscape is dominated by majestic mountains whose contours are gently blurred in the haze, creating a great depth of space. The composition is characterised by fine shading and precise strokes that create a calm, almost poetic atmosphere. Light and shadow are subtly staged to emphasise the textures of nature.
