E. REICH-MÜNSTERBERG (*1866), Alpine landscape, Chalk Eugen Reich-Münsterberg (1866 Münsterberg - 1943 Berlin): Alpine landscape, 19th century, Chalk Technique: Chalk and Pencil on Paper Stamp: Estate stamp, E. Reich-Münsterberg, Nachlass. Date: 19th century Description: Standing on a hill, the viewer looks down into the valley, where the houses of a village and the silhouette of a church tower can be seen. In the background are the snow-covered peaks of a mountain range. Above, the blue sky. The picture shows a picturesque landscape with a clear focus on a group of trees in the foreground. The trees are slender and tall, with fresh, green foliage that seems to sway gently in the wind. A majestic mountain range rises in the background, emphasising the depth of the composition. A small settlement with a striking church tower can be recognised in the distance, embedded in rolling hills and wide meadows. The sky is clear and blue, indicating a sunny time of day. The lighting conditions reinforce the impression of a tranquil, idyllic moment in nature. The artist has created a harmonious atmosphere through the use of soft colours and dynamic lines.
