Because of its intensely curved, thin glass elements, manufacturing this lens required masterful craftsmanship. The No. 5 variant is particularly revered by ultra-large format photographers for its gargantuan image circle (approx. 500mm), with a focal length of approx. 245mm, capable of easily covering 14x17' formats up to 20x20' when stopped down. This makes it an ideal choice for both dedicated collectors and modern wet-plate collodion artisans. The lens is in fine condition with clean and clear lenses.
