Heinrich Aldegrever – Ornamententwurf mit dem Torso eines gepanzerten Mannes, 1529 Beschreibung: Heinrich Aldegrever (1502–ca. 1555/61) – Ornamentales Motiv mit dem Oberkörper eines gepanzerten Mannes, 1529. Eine außergewöhnlich fein gravierte ornamentale Komposition, die die Büste eines gepanzerten Mannes zeigt, dessen Kopf im Profil nach rechts gewandt ist und aus einem kunstvollen, schlangenförmigen Blattornament hervortritt, das sich vor einem dicht schraffierten Hintergrund abhebt. Signiert mit Aldegrevers Monogramm und datiert mit 1529 auf einer Tafel unten in der Mitte. Kupferstich, 81 × 56 mm. Ein hervorragendes Beispiel für die äußerst raffinierten ornamentalen Kupferstiche von Aldegrever, einem der bedeutendsten deutschen „Kleinmeister“ des frühen 16. Jahrhunderts. Literaturhinweise: New Hollstein (Aldegrever) 232; Bartsch VIII.432.232. Maße: 8,10 × 6,60 cm Zustand: Ein hervorragender, brillanter Abdruck auf dünnem Büttenpapier, mit vollständigem Plattenrand.
