HEMMERLE Title: Madagascar Sapphire and Diamond Ring. Origin: Germany, Munich. Date: Ca. 1970. Material: 750/- yellow gold, hallmark. EU Ring Size: 55. Weight: 13 g. Diamonds: Ca. 86 small brilliant-cut diamonds, in total ca. 0.8 ct., H-I/VVS-VS. Gemstones: 1 round sapphire in star-/ step-cut, ca. 9.90 x 10.77 x 7.28 mm (ca. 6.5 ct.), origin: Madagascar, no indication of heat treatment, 26 square, faceted sapphires, in total ca. 4.4 ct. Description: Maker's mark 'GH'. The ring shank is set with sapphires and diamonds all around. At its centre is the striking sapphire, whose intense, luminous colour lends the ring a special radiance. We would like to thank atelier Hemmerle for confirming via phone that this ring was crafted at Hemmerle. Enclosure: DSEF Idar-Oberstein gemstone identification report dated April 2026 for the central sapphire attached.
