GEMSTONE AND DIAMOND BROOCH 'KITE' Date: Ca. 1925. Material: Platinum, tested, pin 585/- yellow gold, tested. Weight: 14.5 g. Measurement: 4.8 x 3.4 cm. Diamonds: Ca. 80 diamonds in rose- and old-cut in total ca. 2.5 ct., H-J/VS-P. Gemstones: 3 round faceted citrines in total ca. 2.0 ct., orange-yellow, orange and brown-orange, ca. 38 tiny rectangular faceted emeralds ca. 1.0–2.0 x 1.1 mm. Description: A delicate brooch in the shape of a kite with a geometric design in keeping with the austere lines of Art Déco, the edges adorned with fine millegriffe decoration. The brooch clasp was added at a later date, the kite-shaped element was probably originally part of another piece of jewellery.
