A camouflage cover for the M 1916 steel helmet Grob gewebter, mehrteilig vernähter Bezug aus Sackleinen (kleine Fehlstellen, Risse, Reparaturen), die beiden seitlichen Lüftungslöcher von Leder eingefasst, unten sechs eingenähte Eisenhäkchen. Dieser Tarnbezug war nicht reglementiert, die Truppe fertigte ihn selbst, getragen wurde er in Flandern. Auf der Stirn befindet sich die Verbandsnummer „77“ für das 2. Hannoversche Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 77. Dieses Regiment wurde am 4.10.1917 in Flandern fast vernichtet. Aufgezogen auf eine rostige, grün nachlackierte Helmglocke M 16. Teils beschädigt, deutliche Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Selten. Condition: II - III
