An honor dagger for officers of the Ottoman Army, known as the “Enveriye dagger” Zweischneidige, an der Spitze leicht gekrümmte Klinge von bikonvexem Querschnitt, terzseitig die Tugra des Sultans Mehmed V. (1844–1918) über einem Halbmond mit Stern, arabische Datierung 1334 = 1918 und die laufende Nummer des Dolches "2293". Quartseitig die islamische Glaubens-Formel "Shahada" (= Es gibt keinen Gott außer Allah und Mohammed ist sein Prophet). Messinggriff mit altorientalischen Dekor. En suite gearbeitete, nummerngleich "2293" punzierte Scheide (unsauber nachgelötet). Länge ca. 33 cm. Der osmanische Kriegsminister Enver Pascha (1881–1922) verleih ca. 5000, dieser nach ihm "Enveriye-Dolche" benannten Ehrendolche. Auch an deutsche Offiziere die im Ersten Weltkrieg als Militärberater in der Türkei eingesetzt, Condition: II -
