A fine French small-sword with gold and silver damascened hilt, circa 1730 Schlanke gekehlte Dreikant-Stichklinge. Im oberen Drittel einseitig fein geätztes Motto „L'honeur me fait servir" zwischen Rankendekor. Am Ansatz Kartusche mit Signatur eines Schwertfegers aus Metz. Geschnittenes eisernes Gefäß mit feinem teils plastisch tauschierten Trophäen- und Blütendekor in Gold und Silber. Der Grund mit Resten der originalen Bläuung. Originale Hilze mit kräftiger Silberdrahtwicklung und Türkenbünden. Ovaler Knauf mit abgesetztem Vernietknauf. Scheidenfragment aus weiß gefasstem Leder über Holzkern. Silbernes Mundblech mit graviertem und ziseliertem Blütendekor. Das untere Ende mit Ortblech fehlt. Länge 98,5 cm. Condition: II
