A small Pre-Columbian painted clay bowl, Peru, probably Nazca, 3rd - 8th century Ton, bunt bemalt. Schale auf flachrundem Boden mit sich stark weitender Wandung. Umlaufend bunt bemalt: ein fruchtbarkeitsbringender Dämon, auf dessen Rücken stilisierte Kaulquappen als Zeichen für das Wasser als Lebenskraft in einer Wüstenregion. Malerei leicht berieben. Maße: 7 x 11,8 cm. Falls nicht in der Beschreibung anders erwähnt, erfolgt die Altersbestimmung aufgrund der Charakteristika des Objekts, ohne ein TL-Gutachten angefertigt zu haben. KULTURGUT! Provenienz: Aus rheinischem Privatbesitz, übernommen aus der Sammlung des Vaters (Nachlass), von diesem erworben in den 1960er - 1980er Jahren im deutschen Kunsthandel. Condition: I - II
