Zwei römische Soldaten aus einem Retabel Eiche, polychrome Fassung und Vergoldung über rotem Bolus und Kreidegrund, Punzdekor. Hinten abgeflachtes halbplastisches Figurenpaar auf Terrainplinthe, unterlegt mit moderner Basis. Antwerpener Beschaumarke Hand auf einer Kopfoberseite. Restaurierter Bruch durch Körpermitte und Arm des Soldaten mit der Lanze, ein weiterer oberhalb des ausgestellten Fußes rechts, das Endstück der Säbelscheide wieder angefügt, geringe Fassungsverluste. H 31,6, B 13,6 cm. Antwerpen, um 1530 - 40, dem Meister des Retabels von Oplinter, zugeschrieben. Provenienz Privatsammlung Belgien. Literatur Vgl. Kat.
