Ausrufzeit : ca. 15:44 (Zeitplan ohne Gewähr) Diese zweite »Chagall-Bibel« erschien als Nr. 37/38 der Reihe »Verve«. - Mit eigenhändiger Widmung »Pour M Arnand en bon goustes Marc Chagall.« -Nachdem in der Reihe bereits eine Ausgabe mit Heliogravüren der Bibel-Radierungen erschienen war, entstanden 1958/59 weitere Zeichnungen zur Bibel. Der vorliegende Band enthält die Reproduktionen dieser Zeichnungen auf 96 Tafeln, diesmal bereichert um 24 Farblithographien und diese rückseitig mit einfarbigen Lithographien. - Der einleitende Text stammt von Gaston Bachelard, am Ende mit Erläuterungen zu den 96 Tafeln. The second “Chagall Bible,” published as No. 37/38 in the “Verve” series. - With a handwritten dedication “Pour M. Arnand en bon goustes Marc Chagall.” - After an edition featuring heliogravures of the Bible etchings had already been published in the series, additional drawings for the Bible were created in 1958-59. This volume contains reproductions of these drawings on 96 plates, this time supplemented by 24 color lithographs, each with a monochrome lithograph on the reverse side. - The introductory text is by Gaston Bachelard, followed by explanations of the 96 plates at the end.
