Robert Parker (The Wine Advocate): 96/100. Charles Curtis MW (Decanter): 97/100. Zustand: BN (Base Neck)-Niveau. Original-kapsel in Bordeauxrot, intakt, mit leichten Oberflächenabdrücken. Vorder- und Rücketikett vollständig, gut haftend und lesbar, mit kleinen Flecken und dezenten Alterungsspuren. Insgesamt guter Zustand. Aus einer Privatsammlung, gelagert unter optimalen Temperatur- und Feuchtigkeitsbedingungen. Château Latour ist eines der historischen Wahrzeichen von Pauillac und gehört zu den fünf „Premiers Grands Crus Classés“ von Bordeaux. Seine Weinberge erstrecken sich über eine erstklassige Kiesterrasse nahe der Mündung der Gironde, wo Boden- und Umweltbedingungen eine ausgewogene Reifung der Trauben begünstigen. Cabernet Sauvignon ist die vorherrschende Rebsorte in den Cuvées, ergänzt vor allem durch Merlot und in geringerem Maße durch Cabernet Franc und Petit Verdot. Der Jahrgang 1995 sticht unter den großen Bordeaux-Jahrgängen der 1990er Jahre durch seine Konzentration, Struktur und sein Alterungspotenzial hervor. Der Château Latour 1995 ist ein Wein, der von Sammlern klassischer Bordeaux-Weine besonders geschätzt wird.
