Wilkins del. / L. Caracciolo inc.". Lower middle inscribed in the printing plate: "PORTIQUE A L'ENTRÉE DU FORUM près du THEATRE.". Date: c. 1819 Description: The picture shows an ancient ruined site with a paved forecourt and fragmented columns. Two figures observe the scenery, emphasised by a contrast of light sky areas and darker land masses in the background.
