Upper left numbered in the printing plate: "I. Doel Fol. 235". Date: 1725 Description: Depiction of Dirk III (c. 982-1039), Count of Holland, in full figure against an architectural backdrop. He wears a fur-trimmed cloak and a headdress, a long sword in his left hand, while a coat of arms adorns his left shoulder. The rich border - printed separately - is decorated with weapons, armour, trophies and vanitas symbols such as skulls.
