Inscription: lower left signed in the printing plate: "J. Punt del. et sculps.". At the lower part inscribed in the printing plate: "LA COLOMBE ET LA FOURMI. Fable XXXIV.". Date: 1759 Description: In the foreground, a standing man wearing a wide-brimmed hat, an open coat, knee-length trousers and no shoes is drawing a bow, his gaze fixed upwards on a flying bird. He is leaning backwards, his arms raised high, creating a dynamic diagonal line. To the right, a tower, a house and trees are arranged in tiers; to the left, the landscape opens out.
