Dom. Campiglia del. | P. A. Pazzi fc". Date: 18th century Description: The picture shows a man in a dark robe sitting on an architectural element in a dynamic pose. His right arm is raised, his index finger pointing upwards, while his gaze is slightly tilted to the side as if he is pointing to something important. In the background, artistically designed vaulted arches can be recognised, creating a depth of perspective. The lighting conditions are rich in contrast, which emphasises the sculptural form of the figure. The man's facial expression is serious and concentrated, which could indicate his intellectual preoccupation or spiritual contemplation. The composition conveys a harmonious connection between man and architecture. The lower corners show dark discolouration, with a liquid stain on the right. There are also scattered creases in the margins, particularly one horizontal crease on the right, although this does not penetrate into the image space. The print is in good condition with well-preserved printing ink, fine lines and details.
