Date: 18th century Description: The finely engraved bust portrait shows the Lombard painter Galeazzo Campi in three-quarter view with a direct, self-confident look over his shoulder. The clothing is characteristic of the early 16th century, with voluminous robes and a flat beret. The depiction impressively conveys the presence of one of the founders of the Cremonese school of painting of the High Renaissance. Centre right margin with a few rubbed areas. Graphic in good condition, with well-preserved printing ink, clear lines and details. Lettering perfectly legible.
