Date: 1782 Description: In an arbour Charlotte sits at a small round table and distributes slices of bread to four children, one of whom hangs from her left arm, while another leans back and looks up at Werther, who stands behind her, tilts his chair and looks over at Charlotte; in the right foreground sits a maid holding a jug on her knee; circular design after Bunbury, fourth state with roulette border around the picture, before change of publication line.
