Date: 1647 Description: The historical print shows Apollo and Neptune negotiating with Laomedon, the king of Troy. In the foreground are three figures in ancient garb: two (left and right) appear to be recognisable as gods (Apollo and Neptune), while the central figure (Laomedon) is wearing a crown. They are holding a construction drawing or scroll in their hands - it is about the construction of the walls of Troy. In the background is a comprehensive view of the city with towers, walls and buildings, probably a depiction of Troy. On the right, large, detailed trees frame the scene.
