Date: 1804 Description: Successful city veduta by a travelling English artist. Standing on the banks of the River Adige, the artist sketched the historic centre of Bolzano with the cathedral in front of the impressive mountain massif. The impressive Siegmundskron fortress can be seen in the distance. Keywords: 19th century, Romanticism, Architecture, United Kingdom, Size: Paper: 14,5 cm x 23,5 cm (5,7 x 9,3 in) Condition: Very good condition. Faint foxing and soiling in places. A strip-shaped rubbing is recognisable in the lower right quarter of the sheet.
