Unknown (19th), View of the Gothic St Paul’s Church, Pencil Unknown (19th century): View of the Gothic Paulin Church with high choir and parish tower, 19th century, Pencil Technique: Pencil on Paper Date: 19th century Description: Successful view of a Gothic church with a high choir and a slender west tower. The closely adjoining buildings are reminiscent of monastery buildings. Despite the exact designation with the patrocinium of St. Paulin or St. Paulinus, the church cannot be precisely located. The freestanding gable projecting over the ridge of the roof is reminiscent of the brick Gothic style of northern Germany. The drawing is from the sketchbook of an anonymous travelling artist from the late 19th century.
