Unknown (19th), Hilly countryside near Weilburg, 1834, Pencil Unknown (19th century): Forest and hilly landscape near Weilburg, 1834, Pencil Technique: Pencil on Cardboard Date: 1834 Description: Landscape picture drawn with a pointed pencil with a view of a hilly landscape with individual farmsteads or monastery buildings. In the foreground a dense wooded area can be seen, where the anonymous artist found a location with a good view. Inscribed and dated in pencil on the verso: "Weilburg on the 17th of Octo: 1834". The print was made by an unknown English traveller who was travelling in Hesse in the 19th century.
