Further stable buildings often adjoin, and all buildings of such a farmstead have their entrances on the same side. Characteristic is a pointed gable above the entrance door reaching almost up to the ridge. German Description Wilfried Thierbach, Gehöft auf Sylt, Backsteinhaus mit Reetdach hinter Rasenfläche, datiert 2015 Aquarell/Papier, unten rechts signiert, rückseitig auf der Rückwand bezeichnet und datiert 2015, Gehöft auf Sylt, langgestreckter Backsteinbau mit Reetdach, Gauben und Giebeln, weiße Sprossenfenster und dunkle Tür, links Büsche, rechts ein langgestrecktes Nebengebäude mit grauem Dach und ein kahler Baum, im Vordergrund eine große Rasenfläche, bewölkter Himmel, guter Zustand, Darstellung 18x26 cm (HxB), Passepartout, hinter Glas, gerahmt, silberfarbener Rahmen mit Reliefdekor, Gesamtmaß 34,5x44,5 cm (HxB) Im uthlandfriesischen Haus waren Stall und Wohnraum innerhalb eines Gebäudes untergebracht. Oft schließen weitere Stallgebäude an, und alle Gebäude eines solchen Gehöfts haben ihre Eingänge an derselben Seite. Kennzeichnend ist ein spitzer Giebel über der Eingangstür, der bis knapp unter den First reicht.
